Haven’t played team games before or a little unsure? Will Watson’s Tuesday and Friday evening games (6:40 pm) will give you good opportunity to practice and improve starting Tuesday, February 23rd. Players do not need a team but register as pairs, then choose another pair from the list or let BBO assign a pair to complete the team.
Team games use IMP scoring. There is a big premium for bidding and making game contracts, especially slams. Overtricks do not make much difference. So the strategy is to stretch, within reason, to bid game and then play without risking the contract to make overtricks. I love SWISS and think you will too.
