Sadly, we lost long time player and club owner Claire Coleman on May 5, 2019. Claire directed bridge games for over 30 hears and owned a club for many of those.
Claire loved directing and playing. Even if not feeling well she’d hard boil 40 eggs to make her wonderful egg salad along with other goodies for her Friday players. Giving up directing was a difficult choice for her but she continued to play even after vision problems made it difficult. Her last visit at Christmas, 2018, was because she missed her extended bridge family.
You didn’t have to wonder what Claire thought, she forthrightly told you what it was.
She and husband Duane, who was instrumental in building and maintaining our bridge centers over the years, supported our Unit with both their time and financial support.
We will miss them both.
