Eureka! Last month, the Palo Alto Bridge Mining Company struck it rich — uncovering a massive Stierlin Road vein of gold and silver! An anonymous benefactor, who is a major shareholder of the mine, has decreed that these precious metals must be given away! Now comes your chance to cash in!
You have three upcoming opportunities to win glitter points – gold, red and silver – at the Palo Alto Bridge Center, plus an absolutely must-attend bridge lecture!
Upcoming events for you at Palo Alto Bridge Center:
Attached is a 1-pager current list of planned events – more will be added through the year. |

Free Lecture by World Champion Debbie Rosenberg – Thu. May 14 Topic: “Forcing vs Non-Forcing Bids” How often has your partner (not you, of course….) passed your Forcing bid and you missed a game? Ugh! How often have you agonized and discussed over whether your partner’s bid is Forcing or Non-Forcing? World Champion Debbie Rosenberg will provide you with guidance to limit those misunderstandings, excitable discussions and zero boards. |
|
She will give a free lecture on this interesting and important topic “Forcing versus Non-Forcing Bids” on Thursday, May 14 at 10:30AM at Palo Alto Bridge Center. This is part of our Free Lecture Series, which is funded by Peninsula Bridge Education Foundation PBEF. Why not stay and play in the 11:30AM club game? SignUp |

Thank you all for coming to play and support our first 2026 4-day sectional from April 23 – 26. The 244 total tables were 20% more than the Unit’s April 2025 sectional, and a post-Covid Unit non-Firecracker sectional record. The income from these tournaments is vital for our Unit’s financial wellbeing. We are especially appreciative of the outpouring of volunteers who helped us run this so smoothly. A HUGE thank-you to our Tournament Chair, Marc Cervellino, and his dedicated Co-Chair Debra Willrett, with a lot of help from their team: Doug Boyle, Liz Koh, Rob Boucher, Brenda Hatton, Debbie Carey, Sólveig Kjartansdóttir, Randy Ryals, David Merenbach, ilya Sherman, Michael Callahan, Dave Joffee, Bill Somers, Pamela Resser, Virginia Dare, Steve Carr, Sandy Chen, Roy Tsai.
