At the end of each lecture series the lectures for that series must be added to the Lecture Series Archive.

Overview

Adding lectures to the Lecture Series Archive is a multiple step process as follows:

  • Export the series on the Lecture Series page to your computer
  • Import the series into the Lecture Series Sorted table and reformat it to match the Lecture Series Archive table
  • Append the reformatted information to the Lecture Series Archive table
  • Move each appended lecture to the proper row in the Lecture Series Archive table

Log onto WordPress

  • Go to paloaltobridge.org/wp-admin
  • Enter your username and password
  • You will be taken to the ‘Dashboard’ – the main page for editing our site.

Export the series on the Lecture Series Page to your computer

  • Open TablePress in the WordPress dashboard.
  • Open the Lecture Series table in TablePress
  • Select the Export tab at the top of the edit page, select the table and select CSV
  • Select Download Exported File

Import the series into the Lecture Series Sorted table and reformat it to match the Lecture Series Archive table

  • Select the Import tab, File Upload, CSV, Append rows to existing table and select the Lecture Series Sorted table
  • Select Import
  • Open the Lecture Series Sorted table
  • Add a column for Subject
  • Re-arrange the columns to match the Lecture Archive table by dragging their column numbers
  • Add the Subject to each lecture
  • Sort the rows by Subject and then Title by dragging their row numbers
  • Save the changes
  • Select the Export tab at the top of the edit page, select the table and select CSV
  • Select Download Exported File

Append the reformatted information to the Lecture Series Archive table

  • Select the Import tab, File Upload, CSV, Append rows to existing table and select the Lecture Series Archive table
  • Select Import

Move each lecture to the proper row in the Lecture Series Archive

  • Open the Lecture Series Archive table
  • Drag the imported rows to the proper place in the table
  • Save the changes
