Many of you know Chris Chung for his pre-game lectures at Monday’s EZ games.  He is also giving pre-game lectures at Friday’s club games, targeted at intermediate players.

If you want more silver points, a fabulous time, and tournament experience, come to Palo Alto Bridge’s 4-day Sectional from Thursday August 6 to Sunday August 9.  August Sectional

Call your partners, teammates and friends and come play!  If you need a partner(s) or teammates, use our reservations system.

Separate Silver Rush (under 750mps) and Open/Midflight sections.  Special 0-99er game with 18 boards on Saturday morning.

Newer Players: Come and join many other newcomer players at our new relaxed and friendly Newcomer EZ 0-49 games on Mondays.  This game is a great way to improve your bridge and gain duplicate bridge experience in a welcoming environment!  We can help you find a partner.  Please encourage your friends or family who could be interested in duplicate and need a little cajoling into the Bridge Center!

There will be a short pre-game lecture at 11:00AM by Chris Chung and the duplicate game with 12-14 boards starts at 11:15AM to about 1:15PM.  Helpers will be available to answer limited questions during the bidding. SignUp

For Limited (0-499) section games, our games are on Tuesdays at 10:45AM and Wednesday evenings at 6:45PM.  SignUp

Palo Alto Bridge offers monthly Swiss team games for you to gain team game experience in a relaxed atmosphere.  Next team club game is on Monday, July 20 at 11:30AM, where the boards are already shuffled and dealt with hand records.  This is a great opportunity to practice for the August sectional tournament next month.  If you need a partner, or help to be matched with another pair, let us know.  Swiss Team games  SignUp

The KOH Conspirators team made their Palo Alto Bridge debut in June… came in dead last but were the the best dressed!  Thanks to David Merenbach for naming the team and getting us our team outfits!

Highlights:

Plenty of congratulations to Mid Year 2026’s top leaders of the Ace of Clubs and Mini-McKenneymasterpoints races (attached list).  The Ace of Clubs race recognizes the top masterpoint earners in F2F club games only.  The Mini-McKenney race tracks masterpoints earned in club games, sectionals, regionals, nationals, etc.  You still have the remaining 6 months to earn more masterpoints by playing at Palo Alto Bridge Center!

Our exclusively 100% Gold Club Championship game on Saturday June 6th was very well attended with 184 bridge players from the Bay Area!  The Bridge Center was decked out in gaudy gold!

  • Award winning teacher Phil Abrahamson gave an excellent lecture on Cue Bid Raises – video and slides can be found on our website Lecture Series
  • Our event drew players from afar: Geeske Joel from New Zealand, Cheryl Haines from Hawaii and Jenny Caulfield from Ireland.
  • At least 9 Grand Life Masters (highest rank with over 10,000mps) came to play at the Firecracker – that’s a lot of bridge experience!
