Call to Order
Liz Koh, President of the Board, called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm, and announced that a quorum of the Board members was present.
Approval of Meeting Minutes
Liz Koh announced that the minutes of the April 8, 2025 Board Meeting were approved via email.
Club Reservation System
Allen Simon presented an update on the Club Reservation System, on track to roll out June 1, so it will be ready to reserve for the upcoming Firecracker tournament also.
Alan Templeton will help migrate the new system onto our website.
Financials
Marc Cervellino updated our financial status. Our table count remains strong and limited games attendance has increased. The Valentine’s Day and Cinco de Mayo games were well attended. April income showed revenues and table rent increasing. The April Sectional was well attended and considered a success.
Pricing Review
Status with IFES
Board members met with IFES (Matt Lawson) on April 22 re: utilities. The Unit’s utilities obligations were discussed. Further discussion is planned.
Events
New Alan Cummings Lecture Series – Stephanie has organized two: Amber Lin 5/22 and Frank Smoot 7/17.
More Find-a-Partner games will be scheduled for Wednesdays, June 11 and 25.
Our second Pro-Am game was scheduled for Thursday, June 19.
Tuesday, September 30, will be the club game celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Palo Alto Bridge Center. It was proposed that the Annual Meeting could be held on that date.
The Board meeting adjourned at 5:40 pm.
