The meeting was called to order at 3:55 PM by Susan Griswold, President. Present were Board members Susan Griswold, David Crosley, Bev Nuding, Margot Livenspargar, Alan Wolman, Steve Barasch, Kevin O’Leary, Valerie Baldwin, Sue Barkley, and Keith Burnett. Others attending: Elinor Tanck.

The minutes of the April Board Meeting were approved.

The treasurer’s report showed $114,970 in the general account and $6687 in the educational fund.

The Board went into Executive Session to discuss the future of the Monday game and the license agreement. May 14 will be the last game for the current license holder.

Keith announced that the May 20 Unit Game will be a Swiss team game.

Elinor Tanck said the June Kibitzer will be out the middle of May. She will not be at the June meeting but will have Marian Kelly attend in her place. Elinor will send emails to remind members to send information to Marian. All information must be sent to Marian by June 15 to be included in the July Kibitzer. The subject of publishing donors in the Kibitzer was discussed.

The annual Unit meeting was to have been in March but wasn’t due to the move into the new location. The Board voted to hold the annual meeting at the June Unit game.

The audio-visual installation is still under consideration. Valerie had been looking into different setups. Sue G. said she had someone coming this week to recommend a solution. Sue also said that the ACBL Education Fund would contribute to the project.

The license agreement as prepared by an attorney was presented. The interim agreement (valid through April 30, 2012) has been extended for one month. Sue and Dave are still working on the fee schedule. It was noted that Club Owners who are not members of the Unit must secure their own liability insurance policy or become a member of the Unit.

Bev Nuding asked that something be put on the Unit website directing people to the treasurer if they want to buy free play certificates.

The next Board meeting will be at 3:45 PM Tuesday, June 5, 2012.
