Membership Meeting

President Liz Koh called the meeting to order at 10:30AM, and announced that a quorum of the Unit members was present.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and vote upon the Board’s proposed Amended and Restated Constitution and Bylaws of the Unit, a copy of which was attached to the notice of the special meeting.  A one-page summary of the key changes was also attached to the notice and copies of this were available at the meeting.

Liz Koh highlighted the key changes:

  1. Maximum limit of Board directors is set to 12.
  2. President can serve up to 3 consecutive years, or the term can be extended by a majority vote of the Board.
  3. Updates to conform to current circumstances, including ACBL procedures.

There was a discussion about the term limit of the presidency.  

Votes were then cast, and the proposal was approved.

The Special Meeting adjourned at 10:40AM.
