Call to Order
David Merenbach, President of the Board, served as Chair of the meeting, called the meeting to order at 4:00PM and announced that a quorum of the Board members was present and that the meeting, having duly convened, was ready to proceed with business.
Approval of Meeting Minutes
Eli W. announced that the minutes of the October 10, 2022 Board Meeting were approved via email.
Celebrity Lecture Series
Kathy Wheeler presented a summary of the Celebrity Lecture series in 2022: 6 seminars held; generated a net profit; 391 total participants; 94.7% of survey respondents said classes valuable. 4 seminars are tentatively scheduled for 2023 at this time – January, April, June, October.
Financial Update
Marc C. presented an update on our Finances. Play has been flat for our PABC clubs over the last month. The special 499er game on Halloween was successful with 11 tables. There was positive net operating income for the month of October, due to revenue from the Sectional and Celebrity Lecture, and a net loss for the year to date, reduced by the Sectional and Celebrity Lecture, and grants from PBEF.
Operating Plan
Marc C. will be working on the Operating Plan for 2023. David M. and Jon R. will assist and review with Marc. The proposed plan will be shared via email in December.
October and November Sectionals
Marc C. presented a review of the Sectionals held at the club in October and November. Both were well attended, with over 525 individual players attending, and both generating a profit.
Holiday Party
Stephanie Y. gave an update on the Holiday Party. 30 pairs are signed up to date, and the game will be a Royal STaC game.
Unit Board Election
Dan T. announced that the four incumbent Board Members- David Merenbach, Jon Rayden, John Schwartz, and Stephanie Youngquist, were re-elected to the Board.
December Board Meeting
The December Board Meeting was cancelled. Board Meetings for 2023 will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of each Month. The schedule for the meetings for 2023:

Board Officers 2023
David Merenbach was nominated to be Board President for 2023. M/S/P
Stephanie Youngquist was nominated for Vice President, Marc Cervellino for Treasurer, and Eli Wismer for Secretary. M/S/P
