Lecture notes and copies of deals played\, with analysis\, will be distributed via email. Some basic familiarity with the slam bidding conventions covered will be assumed. \nLessons are not offered on a per-session basis. This course includes discussion of the weekly topic\, in-class exercises\, lots of practice deals\, homework\, and occasional examples from deals played at the Wednesday Night game. \nThis course is designed for bridge players who have a minimum of one year of experience playing duplicate bridge. \nUsing materials from many sources (primarily Richard Pavlicek) you will learn concepts\, do exercises in class (homework outside of class) and finish the evening by playing hands relating to the topic. The first session will introduce various common squeeze techniques\, and reinforce them through the play of practice deals. The second session will consist primarily of more practice deals\, on which various advanced bidding concepts will also be explored. \nObscure squeezes\, of the type usually executed only in books\, won’t be covered.
