DESCRIPTION:Swiss Team games are great fun to play and grant generous master point awards at sectional\, regional\, and national tournaments!  Now you have the chance to play at the club level in our monthly games hosted by John Schwartz and Will Watson. \nThese games are a wonderful opportunity to polish one’s Swiss Team skills throughout the year and especially prior to sectional\, regional\, and national tournaments. If you are less experienced or have never played in a Swiss Team game and would like to play Swiss Teams at future tournaments\, these Swiss Team club games are a perfect opportunity to gain experience in a more relaxed club game environment. For those less experienced Swiss Team players\, here are slides from a Swiss Team strategy lecture from a Swiss Team strategy lecture given in August 2023.. \nThese games will have an Open and a Limited section.  They will award 100% black points. \nNo lunch is provided.   Snacks aree available before and during the game. \nFor planning purposes\, we ask that players sign-up to play at: https://www.signup123.com/unit503bridge/Scripts/slogin.pl  \n\nThe game reservation system is designed for pairs games and not Swiss Teams. DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars Thursday\, June 13 at 10:30AM for a special game at the Palo Alto Bridge Center to celebrate the 90th birthday of John Schwartz. \nJohn has been a game director and board member of Palo Alto Bridge Unit for well over a decade and was recognized with the Palo Alto Unit 503 service award and District 21 Goodwill award for his many contributions to the Unit and the bridge community in our area. He has tirelessly worked to attract new and experienced players in our area and his kind\, calm and nurturing nature has made the game of bridge an important and enjoyable part of their lives. Additionally\, he has provided invaluable legal and financial advice to the Palo Alto Unit Board as well as led negotiations with all the Unit’s contracts. \nLet’s all get together and celebrate his milestone birthday and thank him for his many contributions to the bridge community in our area.
